Accreditation of BBN’s Certification service

Auditors’mission from KENAS (Kenya National Accreditation Services) has conducted a two-day audit assessment on March 17-18, 2025, at the BBN-Burundi in the Product Certification Service as part of the first periodic evaluation after accreditation according to the International Standard ISO 17065:2012.
The Director General of Burundi Bureau of Standards and Quality Control, Dr. Jérémie NGEZAHAYO and other officials who welcomed these auditors have urged them to collaborate with the department concerned to contribute on the promotion of quality culture of products at the Burundi market. After two days of intense work, the conclusion was that Accreditation is maintained after closure audit according to the everyday work of the BBN certification
work. In his closing Remarks, the Director General of the Burundi Bureau of Standards and Quality Control, Dr. Jérémie NGEZAHAYO, acknowledged the dedication of the team and emphasized that maintaining the accreditation is a key element addressing the progress which assures the recognition at international level, to facilitate trade and commerce at national, regional and international level and Burundi products can reach any market.
